This hillside home is thoughtfully oriented to the east, capturing breathtaking sunrises over the Texas hills. Nestled into the slope for natural protection from the harsh western sun, it features a full-length porch that frames panoramic views of rolling terrain and distant horizons.

This project is a collaboration between BATL Group and Timberlyne, a leader in mass timber construction. The vision was to create a space that harmonizes beauty, functionality, and sustainability. Mass timber not only reinforces a strong sense of place but also seamlessly connects the lush outdoor setting with the expansive interior.

Inside, an open floor plan and soaring cathedral ceilings frame the surrounding scenery. Sunlight pours through two dormer windows and three clerestory windows, filling the space with warmth and brightness. The living room centers around a striking stone fireplace serving as a cozy focal point. The primary suite offers a large bay window with built-in bench seating, and thoughtfully framed views of the outdoors—creating a serene retreat.
